Darren Criss, Justin Bieber, and the Machine

Above are pictures from Darren's photoshoot with Out magazine. He is half-Irish, half-Filipino. The better halves apparently. (I'm not sure what that means either. Just nod politely.) Some of his earlier pictures were not as, well, representative of, umm, his potential. That is to say, he cleans up well.

Here is one interesting quote from the article in Out:

Knowing that "Are you gay?" would be among the first questions lobbed at him, Criss initially thought he would tell reporters something ambiguous and "idealistic" like "It doesn’t matter if I’m gay or straight -- I’m playing a role."

Ultimately, Darren decided it would be better to come clean and tell the truth clearly and uneventfully: I'm straight. No kidding. We know, Darren. It's obvious. So, where's the story? Quote of the Day

"It’s no secret that I haven’t always been the world’s most decent human being. I’m a recovering alcoholic, with a history of being a slightly terrible friend, a very terrible business partner and a very, very terrible boyfriend. Hell, a real, grown-up publishing house has commissioned not one – but two – books about how much of a dick I used to be. (I say “used to be” but, yunno, it’s a process)."

Best quote ever! If only every other dick in the world was as process oriented, yunno? At least Paul knows the difference between "fewer" and "less" - that has to count for something, right? On second thought, Christopher Hitchens knows the difference and he's still very much an alcoholic and a dick.

Connection?
